Alliance for Refugee Support Youth Education (ARYSE)
$5,000 to the Alliance for Refugee Support Youth Education (ARYSE) to support the Pittsburgh Refugee Youth Summer Enrichment (PRYSE) Academy. PRYSE Academy is a summer camp that includes English and academic skill-building curricula, creative expression workshops, field trips, and programming aimed at shaping refugee youth into engaged and successful members of the Pittsburgh community.
ARYSE assists resettled refugee youth in becoming confident, engaged, and productive members of American society. ARYSE fulfills this mission by growing university and college-based tutoring and mentoring programs with resources, trainings, and best practices. Creating an alliance between these programs enables knowledge exchange and resource sharing, which magnifies impact and improves program performance. The purpose of ARYSE is to increase the quality and scope of student-led programs serving refugee youth.
